FT Africa Summit 2020: Interview with Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus
If one person has been at the centre of the global pandemic it is the Director-General of the World Health Organisation, which has led the global health response. In that role, Dr Tedros, who emerged onto the world stage as Ethiopia’s health and then foreign minister, has had to contend not only with a deadly virus but also with some of the most fractious international politics in living memory. Dr Tedros talks about the prospects for defeating the virus, the future of the WHO and the prospects for multilateralism.
